Carol grew up in Massachusetts before relocating to the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland with her family. She was "bitten by the real estate bug" when first employed by a developer and general contractor in the metropolitan Washington area. After eight years with the developer, Carol joined one of the nation's top home building companies, initially as their Director of Administration and then as a New Home Sales Specialist.

After 10 years with the home building company, the decision to relocate to southwest Florida was a difficult one. But Carol's initial visit to Gasparilla Island and Boca Grande sealed the deal. "The first time I crossed the Causeway, the beauty of the Island took my breath away, and I felt like I just discovered paradise. I have never looked back."

In 1996, Carol entered the Boca Grande real estate market when she joined Boca Bay Properties as a Sales Associate and Rental Manager in the CSX community of Boca Bay. When new construction properties sold out in January 2000, Carol joined Gasparilla Properties as a Partner where she now handles Island-wide sales and has expanded her sales efforts to include the Cape Haze Peninsula. One of her greatest joys comes from the repeat and referral business she has had with her clients and customers.

For calendar year 2005, Carol had $14,000,000 in closed sales transactions.

In addition, Carol is the Manager of Gasparilla Properties' Rental Department which has a large portfolio of some of the finest rental properties on the Island. The Rental Department averages seasonal and annual vacation rentals in Boca Grande of $750,000.00 per year. Carol has long­standing relationships with owners and renters who have been in her program for nine years.

Carol relies very heavily on her assistant, Stacey Alderman, who handles much of the day-to-day rental activity and also assists Carol with her listings and sales efforts.

Carol is also a partner/owner in the local real estate service company known as Gasparilla Home Watch, LLC along with Randy Wojcik and Connie and Jim Portell. This successful endeavor assists many of our clients who require and appreciate the comprehensive services we provide to them as absentee owners. Currently, the company oversees over 60 properties located primarily in and around Boca Grande.

Carol recently began a 5-year term as a Director on the Board of the Boca Grande Chamber of Commerce and has volunteered each year for the World’s Richest Tarpon Tournament and the Christmas Walk. She also volunteers in the READING IS FUNdamental (RIF) program for pre-school children at the Boca Grande Community Center. Carol is a member of the Barrier Island Parks Society, the Englewood Board of Realtors® as well as the National Association of Realtors®.

Carol lives in Placida in the golf course community of Windward. Like most others who live in the area, she enjoys boating, tarpon fishing and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere associated with life in and around Boca Grande.
